Your path to healing and growth

My journey to counseling
From an early age, I found it difficult to understand my feelings and behaviors. However, as I grew older, I gained clarity and was able to discern the root cause of my issues. This personal journey transformed me into a person others sought for help and guidance. My favorite part about helping others is witnessing their healing, growth, and their ability to navigate complex issues and life itself. It is a privilege to be a part of their transformation.

A direct, empathetic approach
I take a very direct approach to therapy, ensuring that our time together is productive and meaningful. I am not easily offended and often use a sense of humor when appropriate, aiming to make sessions feel like talking to a trusted friend. My goal is to create a relaxed, open, and accepting environment where you feel comfortable to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Beyond the counseling room
Outside of my work as a counselor, I have a diverse background that has enriched my understanding of people and life experiences. I have lived in 9 different states, served in the US Air Force, was a writer for a magazine, a non-profit events fundraiser, a concert promoter, and a non-profit community services director. These experiences, on top of my years as a counselor, have broadened my perspective and deepened my empathy, all of which I bring to my practice.
"My core belief is that everyone's issues stem from a root cause that needs to be uncovered. Within each hurt, there is a lesson we can take to make us stronger and more resilient."
